Our version of the classic TS-808 overdrive pedal is a sonic duplicate based upon the original circuits tube emulating breakup as first introduced in 1979. The heart of our 808 is an original vintage JRC4558D IC chip, which shaped the smooth overdriven tone of the originals, with a warm breakup at higher gain settings. Each 808 pedal is hand-wired using components that are individually measured for technical accuracy and they are tested for tonal consistency against an original 808 circuit. The TWS 808 runs on standard 9 volt center-negative power and requires less than 100mA of current.
