A 1993 black Gibson Explorer is a solid-body electric guitar from Gibson's USA production, featuring its iconic futuristic shape, often with a slim "C" shape neck, rosewood fretboard with pearloid dots, and a mix of Gibson and Seymour Duncan pickups (like a JB in the bridge), known for powerful rock tones, with vintage examples showing typical wear but still highly playable and desirable for their sound and era
Key Characteristics:
- Body: Solid Mahogany, iconic Explorer shape, finished in black.
- Neck: Slim "C" profile, Rosewood fingerboard, Pearloid dot inlays, 24.75" scale length, 1 11/16" nut.
- Hardware: Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece, sealed Grover or Gibson tuning machines.
- Electronics: Often a Gibson USA humbucker in the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge (a popular combination).
- Pickguard: Typically a 3-ply white pickguard.
- Sound: Warm neck pickup, clearer bridge pickup with jangle, great for rhythm and leads.
Used ASIS - Comes with a Hard Case
