Fender Squier Series Stratocasters made in Korea are entry-level guitars produced primarily between 1992 and 1994 (though Korean production for other Squier models ran from 1987 to around 1998). They featured a laminate hardwood body and a large Fender logo on the headstock with a small "Squier Series" decal.
- Production Era: The specific "Fender Squier Series" models were manufactured from September 1992 to December 1994.
- Body Material: These guitars typically have a thin laminate hardwood body, which is a key characteristic separating them from higher-end Squier or Fender models of the time which had solid wood bodies.
- Headstock: The headstock features a large "Fender" logo (often silver or black depending on the exact year and factory) with "Squier Series" in smaller print, a cost-saving measure to put the Fender brand name more prominently on the guitar.
- Neck: They usually have a maple neck with either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. The fretboard radius during this period was generally 12" until mid-1995 when it returned to 9.5".
- Hardware: The hardware was generally budget-friendly, including vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridges (often with two pivots) and Jin Ho covered hexagonal tuning machines.
- Electronics: They feature a standard SSS (three single-coil pickups) configuration with a 5-way selector switch, master volume, and two tone controls.
