Up for sale, a 1994 Fender Duo Sonic in excellent condition and in good working order. A fairly short lived pseudo-reissue of this "student model" Fender classic, the Duo Sonic was produced in Fender's Ensenada, Mexico factory. This guitar sounds good with its original single coil pickups, delivering plenty of snap and jangle. Professionally setup and strung with 10-46 strings and low action, this Duo Sonic is an exceptional value and a ton of fun!
The maple neck has a slim C profile with a traditional 1 5/8" nut width and a shorter scale length that's just under 23". The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth to the touch and the original frets show virtually no wear and retain their full, original height! The headstock sports a set of stock tuning machines which work smoothly and hold pitch well.
On the body, all of the electronics work as they should, with two single coil pickups wired to a three-way toggle and Master Volume and Tone controls. Cosmetically, the guitar has a few small nicks and finish scuffs, mostly near the rear strap button and relegated to the back of the guitar and around the edges of the contours. The instrument shows no serious or structural wear of any kind and overall the guitar is clean and well kept. Plus, you can't beat the instant cool of the white on white look!
